My journey as a Coach began in 2000 when I worked for several companies helping people transition to careers they love. I earned a degree in Psychology/ Business Management from Western Washington University. I also obtained almost two years of training as a Mental Health Counselor. Although I enjoyed counseling, I realized that the process was too slow for me. Coaching is a better fit for me because it focuses on creating future results instead of past problems.
There were a few years I turned my back on my passions and took a job in sales. Although I made good money and gained some valuable skills, I HATED my job. Life is too short and too precious to spend it doing work you hate!
For the last few years I have been working with a Department of Labor program teaching a course I designed and educating/coaching people how to set and achieve career and personal goals. I have over 10 years of experience coaching and have helped hundreds of people create plans for living a life they love. I enjoy my work and wake up excited about my day. Monday is as enjoyable as Saturday!
Personal development has been a huge passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Devouring personal development books, seminars, podcasts, blogs, and anything else I can get my hands on is my favorite pastime (besides spending time with my family). The other things I am passionate about are reading and golf. I live in Kansas City, MO with my beautiful wife Kelly, my children; Tyler, Jake and Claire (the cute little caboose).
